Softants Project

Automated flying helicopter using AI/Robotics.

Project Hardware

Below you will find all the building instructions to replicate and hopefully explain how the hardware sticks together.

The final aim of the project is to have three micro-controllers to process all the flying requirements for the final heli. Two of these processors will be slaves to the main high level master chip.

The final version will be using ATMega168s for all the processors, although this may change in future releases.

These are the initial circuit layouts for the Master and Slave (number 3) micro-controllers.

There are still some small aspects that could be refined, such as the capacitor used for filtering to the power lines that is coupled to the chips ground lines. This could hide issues when results don't appear to be 100% as expected. For now, we are going to build this circuit and see how we go :)

The circuit below is for the Slave3 part of the project which is very similar to the Master chip. Further circuits are available at the bottom of this page.
